"Perfect love drives out all fear."
1 John 4:18

“As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without water the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is the word that goes out of my mouth: It will not return to me empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
Isaiah 55:10-11

“For I know that plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and I will bring you back from captivity…”
Jeremiah 29:11-14

Everyone's familiar with:
JOHN 3:16
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

But why is this verse seldom talked about?:
LUKE 3:16
"John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh:. . .he shall baptize you with the HOLY GHOST and WITH FIRE."

The baptism with the holy Spirit (the New Birth) is often neglected, overlooked, even rejected in contemporary Christianity. I think it deserves discussion!

Luke 3:16 is equally important---perhaps more so---as the often-quoted John 3:16.
Do you know why?
(Most believers don't know why.)
